RoseRyan selected as a QB3 Accelerator partner
Newark, Calif., December 14, 2012 — RoseRyan, a Silicon Valley–based accounting and finance consulting firm which began specializing in the life sciences in 1996, has been selected as a partner of the QB3 Accelerator program.
Launching today, the Accelerator program provides easy access to important services from partners like RoseRyan that help life sciences startups become operationally efficient. Life sciences startups have recommended all the partners, which offer IT, HR and other services. Founded in 2000, the California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences (QB3) houses 62 companies in its incubator network. During the last 15 months, QB3 has helped 95 teams start companies.
“We’re very excited to be a part of this dynamic and prestigious program,” says Kathy Ryan, who cofounded RoseRyan and serves as its CEO and CFO. “I love that this new QB3 program is designed to help these startups focus on their missions as they quickly achieve operational efficiency. The QB3 Accelerator program falls right in our wheelhouse. We have deep and broad experience with hundreds of life sciences companies, large and small, and know how business needs and issues change as companies grow.”
Adds Ryan: “This program also leverages a particular strength RoseRyan brings to all our work with startups—doing things correctly the first time, from the start. This saves innumerable time, money and energy down the line. After all, we want these young enterprises discovering the next breakthroughs, not focusing on the details of their accounting and finance. We can quickly set up and maintain that layer of their business infrastructure so they don’t have to.”
RoseRyan will offer companies in the QB3 Accelerator program a wide array of finance and accounting services, from basic accounting setup to strategic CFO advice. Tailored to each member’s needs, RoseRyan’s services include:
- Strategic CFO consulting
- Managing day-to-day accounting
- Establishing policies and procedures
- Setting up accounting systems and payroll, and administering payroll
- Creating accounts payable systems
- Preparing financial forecast and budget instruments.
More than 30 startup companies are members of the program already. To learn more about today’s lunch and special presentation celebrating the launch, featuring biotech entrepreneur Corey Goodman of venBio, visit http://qb3.org/startups/QED-QB3.
