Newark, Calif., August 8, 2019—RoseRyan, a San Francisco Bay Area finance and accounting consulting firm that takes companies further, faster, through great finance, has hired Brooks Ensign as Director of Strategic Projects. In this role, he will oversee the growth and lead the teams of this broad and deep array of RoseRyan’s solutions, including the firm’s highly regarded Technical Accounting Group.
Covering a wide swath of services that are among the firm’s most sophisticated, in terms of providing clients with insight, analysis and guidance, Strategic Projects includes audit support, revenue recognition, IPO readiness, M&A (acquiring or target), divestitures, spin-offs, process streamlining, and research.
A seasoned accounting and finance professional with more than 20 years of experience and an MBA from Harvard, Ensign has worked as a corporate controller and as a consultant with private and public companies in the life sciences and technology sectors. Recently, he was the controller for Nervana Systems, an artificial intelligence startup acquired by Intel. His expertise includes SEC reporting, mergers and acquisitions, complex equity accounting, FP&A, strategic finance and IPOs.

Ensign will work closely with sales and product marketing in his role and ensure that the solutions under his purview continue to leverage the latest useful tools and technology. He will also set the vision, hone best practices and provide leadership to the teams within Strategic Projects.
